(Scheme of merit-cum-means based scholarship to students of Odisha to pursue graduate courses)

To help Odisha’s meritorius students from economically weaker section in pursuing graduate courses from reputed institutions by awarding scholarships to subsidise their financial burden and promote the spirit of learning.

A total of 100 scholarships will be awarded every year. 50% of the scholarships is reserved for girl students and 22.5% of the scholarships is reserved for students belonging to SC/ST.

• Applicant must be a citizen of India and domicile of the State of Odisha.
• Applicant must have cleared annual 12th Board Examination from CHSE/CBSE/ICSE in 2015 from an institution located in Odisha with an aggregate of 70% marks (60% for SC/ST).
• Applicant must have received confirmation for admission into any of the approved courses from an AICTE/UGC approved (as the case may be) Indian institution of repute.
• Family of the applicant must belong to the economically weaker section of the society.
• Applicant MUST NOT have received a scholarship from any other source.

• Engineerng: B.Tech/B.E.
• Medical: MBBS/BDS/BPT/B.Pharma
• B.Sc. in any subject

• Annual Parental income of the applicant MUST NOT exceed Rs. 2,50,000/-.
• Applicant MUST submit desired documents (Income certificate of parents/BPL card issued on name of the Head of Family/Letter from local Tehsildar certifying that annual aggregate parental income of the applicant is not more than Rs. 2,50,000/-) as proof of income.

• Applications complete in all respect and meeting all eligibilty criteria will be considered by a technical committee comprising notable educationists and senior officials of the company.
• Selection will be made strictly on basis of merit. Basis of selection will be the 12th Board Examination results of the applicant.
• List of successful candidates will be notified on the Company website after verification of the original copies of the documents submitted.

• For pursuing Engineering: Rs. 30,000/- per annum
• For pursuing Medical: Rs. 30,000/- per annum
• For pursuing B.Sc.: Rs. 20,000/- per annum

• For pursuing Engineering: 4 consecutive years from the year of selection
• For pursuing Medical: 5 consecutive years from the year of selection
• For pursuing B.Sc.: 3 consecutive years from the year of selection

• Applicants qualifying for the scholarship will be felicited with a cheque for the scholarship amount for the first year in an event organized at Bhubaneswar.
• Scholarship amount for the subsequent years will be credited to the awardees’ bank accounts directly.

• Awardee must not discontinue studies at any point of time before completion of the course.
• Awardee must score at least 50% in aggregate or equivalent CGPA, as applicable, and must not fail in any individual subject during the yearly final examination or semester examination as the case may be.
• Awardee must not face any kind of disciplinary action by the Educational Institution he/she is pursuing the course.
• A copy of marksheet of annual examination or semester examination, as the case may be, must be submitted to Vedanta every year after the year of selection for release of scholarship amount.
