To promote a greener Lanjigarh, 2000 saplings of diverse species were planted near the township under the Green Lanjigarh programme. A workshop on Green Lanjigarh was also organized to sensitize the local community to environmental changes.
Various initiatives has been taken up by SESA STERLITE LIMITED, Lanjigarh to create a sustainable environment. As a part of few initiatives 2 numbers of piezometers have been installed around red mud pond and ash pond for monitoring of ground water quality on daily basis (Data has been displayed in the below attached link) .
