VL has so far created more than 500 different rural infrastructures around the district which includes roads, drainage facilities, community centres, electrification, drinking water facilities, pond renovation and temples. All infrastructure works have been done in active participation of the community concerned. Vedanta has also attempted to improve the public building which are used widely by common people of Jharsuguda District. Upgradation of DRDA conference hall and Collectorate Meeting Room, Renovation of District Hospital, putting up traffic lighting system, beautification of public places are some of the initiatives done benefitting common people at large.
